When I first picked it up it gave me the feeling of a generic "fashion" add on light you'd find at store like Dicks Sporting but after throwing it on and firing it up I was pretty impressed. Xenon bulb so it's around 40-50lumens depending on batt life. Poly-carbon shell similar to the Draganov dressings on my sks. It's a pretty stout piece for the size. I've switched out the batt maybe twice in the year and a half of owning it, but am reluctant to say I haven't gone Rambo and gone underwater with it, yet however I will say there's not another tac light I'd buy for it. Fits the 1911 and Walther p99 compact too! I'd recommend it
