DPMS are really awesome for the money. The Sportical is their entry level and it lists for $699 (but you won't ever find one now for that priceunless you order straight from them). True enough it's no frills, but you can add anything and everything every other M4/M5 platform can hold w/o problems.
I'm adding a different rail setup (I don't like the one I have now) and a couple little accessories to make it more useful. The Sportical is a flat top, so you can add any style optic you want. I prefer a non-magnified optic for speed. If I had a flutted barrel, I'd probably go with something different possibly. I like tactical rigs, so that's how I'm keeping mine......you know, for when the million zombies invade the earth.....speed is going to be necessary....
