i'm looking to buy a pistol/handgun.
something like a 9mm, but does not have to be a 9.
nothing too crazy or outrageous.
looking to spend around $200.
any ideas?
post pics, if you don't mind.

Man, don't waste your money. You need to spend more then that.
Yeah, if you want something that will last forever then you are gonna need to spend a little more. Check out pawn shops for used pistols. If they have been taken care of, then they are just as good as a new one.
i don't hunt. just looking for something to shoot every now and then.Originally Posted by 81911SC

would i be able to have it registered to my name?Originally Posted by white24d
Not even last forever, just fire a few times would be a success.
i'm looking for something for me to get the feel for it. i used to shooting rifles and looking to get a pistol that would last a few years till i could get a better one.Originally Posted by 81911SC
its why i'm keeping a low spending on it till i get the feel for it to see if i like a pistol over a rifle.
Seriously though man, you will end up with a shit gun that will jam probably 50% of the time. It's not a clip, it's magazine.Originally Posted by Tran

Yeah man, you can find a good one.
If you buy one used you can have it registered if you want. In this state you dont have to. Just make sure your buying it legally
there is no way i would ever buy a gun off some guy in the street. and if i do get one i want it to be registered to me, so no legal problems come up later.Originally Posted by white24d
i just don't know what to get. nothing too crazy, but something i could keep for a couple years and not have any problems out of it.
any suggestions?
Yeah,
Taurus, Smith and Wesson, Glock, etc.
What caliber do you want? thats the question.
Go up to Adventure Outdoors and do some price checking.
They are pretty good about not selling crap.
SInce the election prices have been on an incline, so the sooner you get one the better.
For that range, you can get a derringer or a hi point.
Dude, he can't get any of those for $200. MAYBE just maybe a used sigma but that's it.Originally Posted by white24d
Yeah, I know. I wasnt saying that.
theres not gonna be much you can get for that.
not looking for anything like a d.eagle, but not a pea shooter.Originally Posted by white24d
probably around a .32-.45 caliber.
edit: i'll probably be going to a local gun/pawn shop right down from my house to get it, i'll check and see what they got and come back. but still looking for any suggestions.
I thought you didn't want anything bigger then a 9mm though? .45 is quite a bit larger.
:boobies:i didnt know that. i more used to a rifle than a pistol, so i don't know much about them. whats the cal on the 9mm? it will give me a better ball park range of what cal to look for.Originally Posted by 81911SC
