    Question 2012.....

So when that day comes what will happen? I have watched and read a bunch of stuffed back by good sources. Some say Christ comes back. Some say the world ends. Some say world will go thru so many changes it will wipe us out. Some say nothing. What do you think? I believe something big will happen. Not really sure. But here lately i have been thinking alot about life in general. I wonder what people would say if God, A God, The God, Or whatever greater power that may be comes. I for one, don't know what i would do nor how i would react. Yes i know people having saying the end of time is here for many many many generations. I am to where i don't know what to believe. Every one has opinions as to what will happen. I for one, have a strong feeling something will happen. I don't know what it will be but something. Only time can tell. For as said before, time tells all stories.

    Whats going to happen:
A bunch of retarded people are going to act like its Y2k, stock up on food and get gas masks and stuff.

    Then nothing will happen.

b/c GOD isn't real and the Mayan prophecy of 2012 means a great change was coming... that didn't mean the end of the world. people have been predicting the end of the world since time began; millions of years have past and we are still here, and their "Savior" is still dead.

2012 is in alot of different text, there is only one certain thing that is going to happen, a pole shift, and what that can bring no one knows yet. If we want to get biblical, Jesus said" i will be with you till the end of the AGE" not the end of the world. 2012 is also the end of an age, Pisces (the fish/jesus) ushering in a new age auqeries*sp, the water bearer, represnting a great flood, not of actual water, but of knowledge, understanding, spirituality, war etc...

But like i said the only true thing we know will happen is a pole shift.... only time will tell

so if the world ends 2012, does it start ending in the first time zone? then every hour another piece of the world ends? does it take into daylight savings? or leap years? maybe its already 2012 and we lost track of time somewhere

it doesnt say in all the reference in multiple cultures(mayans, chinese, egyptians, muslims all have refrences to this event) that it would happen instantly at say 2:00pm 2012 dec 21, it says it will be a gradual increase, and 2012 brings a overflowing a amplifications of things to come, i must say in this sense look over the past hundred years or so, you can say it is getting gradually worse, this is also a refrence to the flood as i mentioned early has started already( technology( huge leaps in technology over the past hundred years),wisdom, war....) so eh time will tell, so its better to be open minded and thinking, than closed an ignorant

credible evidence of what... Jesus? lol

your last statement is typical of those who obviously are too blinded to face reality and your mortality. i don't believe in heaven/hell as well as god(s) those are all man made concepts to fill the void for the weak. to counter your statement it must be depressing to feel so empty that you have make up fictional characters to make it through the day.

if the end of the world comes in my lifetime you will see me laughing.

when we were in the Yukatan to see the Mayan temples the guides their explained that many believe that the Mayan's thought 2012 would mark the end of the world but thats isn't correct. Their culture had done similar things before and they would build a new temples once the time came. It was supposed to signify change.

In Islam, Jesus(prophet) will come back to earth. But he will only come when all the signs are apparent. Disease, death, homo's, killing. literally things will be REAL bad. The antichrist will also be present. Those who will follow the antichrist will live a good live, which will be the wrong life. Those that will be against him will live in famine, and poverty and have nothing good. But God(the unkown almighty) will protect those that follow him from the antichrist. Jesus(prophet) will descend from the heavens the ride the world of the antichrist. Once this is done. The world will start The Judgement Day.

There are lots of things leading up to this final stage. Its really in depth. I will try to scan a few pages that are very similiar in the Bible, Quran, Torah that explains the last stages of the end of earth. It is from the Quran though. Its very interesting whether you believe it or not. Hopefully I remember.

coincidence? I think not... I wonder what the Native American's have passed down in their belief system. What I find interesting is that nearly all societies "back in the day" believed in a higher being and yet today we deny the existence altogether. We say that we're smarter today than man was hundreds or thousands of years ago, but dare I say we take some of the greatest minds (hundreds or thousands), drop them off into Egypt with nothing but the clothes on their back and maybe a knife, and tell them to construct a pyramid with with no assistance of the construction equipment we have today nor use technology to assist them (CAD programs, etc). I think we've actually taken a step back compared to our ancestors before us.

we have become a lot more stupid to the real world. hell, 96% of the world couldn't grow or kill their own food. I learned how to field dress animals when i was about 11. not that hard. but what most people lack today is common sense. you might be book smart beyond the rest of the world, but if you got throwed back in time, you couldn't save your ass from a pissed deer. YOU DON'T TO HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE TO BE SMART OR SURVIVE. today life is a lot easier for everyone. we say its so bad, but think about it. how many of us would like to work from sun up to sun down 7 days a week? manual labor, gather food, wood, planting your food, killing the animals, etc.

Just looking at the state the world is in right now, it's easy to see why a lot of people are buying into this. I think around that time, possibly later, there is going to be some significant event(war, revolution, leadership changes....could be anything) that will change the course of history. Of course I don't look at it from the perspective of religious zealots trying to scare people with it, but with such high tensions between nations intensifying(look at us, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, North Korea, etc) some shit is bound to happen eventually.

i FUCKING hate people with this philosophy about religion. as ALL religious texts say, you are there to serve (insert name of your favorite diety) and shall do so in a way that is unselfish. may be worded differently in some ways, but its there. you saying that its better to be safe than sorry is basically saying you only believe in what you do because no matter what, you want a backup plan for the afterlife. its not depressing to think about what happens when you die, because you die. nothing happens except dying. if theres any sort of afterlife, i like to beleive its something more spiritual than going to heaven or hell. im in no hurry to find out, but its very interesting to me because its one of the only things that science cannot and will never be able to explain. but you saying that its better to have some sort of faith in order to be safe rather than sorry is very selfish and ignorant sounding. if youre gonna believe in something, more power to you. if you believe for the wrong reasons, you need to rethink your faith.

    1. drop man into POWERFUL position in ancient egypt.

    4. PYRAMID!!!

its not like anyone built a pyramid on their own. it takes less than 1/4 of the manpower to erect FAR more technically advanced and well-engineered structures. they did very well considering the resources they had, but today we can build a structure of 100000x the complexity and ingenuity with probably 1/10th of the manpower, time, etc.

not saying they didnt do VERY well with what they had. the engineering skills it took to get everything right is VERY impressive given the time period.

The calender is inaccurate, the real forecast is October 2010.

Seriously though, in the year 2012 a bit of plaster will probaly fall off my ceiling onto the top of my head and I will look up and think - is that it?

Bottom line is this: This planet is millions upon millions of years old. We can fuck it up all we want, but it will surely outlast us. You know what's going to kill us all?

    NOT the Sun
    NOT the Asteroids
    NOT the LHC
    NOT Lucifer

You know what will kill us all? Us!
Our stupid fucking selves who think we can nuke who we want and cut down all the trees and dump shit into our waters. Once we're gone, then the earth will just swallow our remains up and the cycle will start all over again. You think that shit from the movies is made up?
It is in our nature to kill ourselves. Which is quite ironic since our main primal instinct is to procreate for the survival of the species.

Truly I'd rather Laugh with the "Sinners" than cry with the "saints"...

"Sinners" are people who live their lives, however they want, not relying on some invisible force to "guide" them through life. What was before all your large established religion? People have been around a lot longer than a couple of thousand years. And this as itself, depending on how said person, may or may not grant merit depending on how said person lives, thinks, how they treat their fellow man because they think it's right, not because someone said to, and if you don't you'll burn forever, whatever. I guess I'll find out just like the rest of you. Mainly because these "Saints" are closet hypocrites, and all these "Sinners" are just a way for the "Saints" to look down upon people, other religions, and to point the finger and say, "you are wrong, and as so, you will go to hell." Why, because they said so and apparently there MUST be a right religion, according to said hypocrites. Why make it a point to single out other religion, and say that they are wrong? I believe in an after life or sorts, but also believe that ALL religion is wrong. But hey, whatever makes you sleep at night...

But like i said the only true thing we know will happen is a pole shift.... only time will tell
There is no evidence that a pole shift will happen on earth, because here its not on a regular schedule. At the time of dec 21, 2012, the SUN will reverse its magnetic poles, BUT that already has happened 2 or 3 times in your lifetime depending on how old you are on a very short cycle. The Sun will come between the earth and the center of the galaxy on that day as well...that already happens on a smaller scale for the past couple of years as it gets closer and closer, nothing has changed.

as for the pyramids, everyone knows that the predators came down to oversee the construction of those!!

This guy is correct! See for yourself - The Sun does a flip

This is more proof that a lot of IA fucks have no idea what 2012 or anything is actually about. They just see random bullshit videos and automatically assume shit and decide that it'll be a good idea to post up their 'facts' online only to end up looking like total fucking retards.

Depends on which church you go to. I'm sure that there are stories out there that people have taken/stolen money, I wouldn't doubt it. They are afterall, people. But like any money handling situations, there are safeguards, checks and balances and auditing that are put in place to try to minimize on anything of the sort.

Like I said, I'm sure it happens occassionally but I wouldn't generally say all churches launder money. (not saying you or anyone else said it, just sayin')

At the time most of these 2012 prophecies were written, man still believed the world was flat.

But hey, whatever makes you sleep at night...
damn. i couldnt have said it better myself. i can go ahead and tell you exactly what will happen on that day if a god, the god, whoever comes back. every so called "saint" will get on their knees, and beg for forgiveness for the bad they have done, hell there will be a lot of people who find a religion that day to try and save themselves from whatever might follow their actions in life. i'm not religious. if it happens then damn i was wrong, but there is no sense in freaking out and living your life a certain way because a bedtime story someone made up to scare people into living right said so. you live life, everyone hass the ability to do right and at a certain age you have the ability to judge what is right//wrong. its up to you to make that choice and deal with any consequences that come from it. i agree i will be laughing to the end with the sinners because i will not be weak enough to fall to my knees and cry with the saints. i live my life my way. i will not be a hypocrit in my words.
