    To be honest

CUT FAST FOOD OUT or REALLY scale down your portions. I used to eat Double QUarter Lbers and supersize everything. Now , if i do eat fast food, its usually SMALL everything. Instead of a DBL Quarter i get a reg hamburger.

CUT SODAS OUT unless its Diet Coke/Fresca. Soda is filled with sugar.

I try to eat 1 meal out and 1 meal home a day. Lunch is usually out, i eat a Steak Burrito (no rice no beans) and a diet coke, Dinner ill have some form of meat CHicken or Steak or Burgers with some type of vegetable.

Dont eat past 9pm that was my biggest problem. Eating before i went to bed put alot of weight on.

try to cut down on carbs, those things turn into sugar which if not burned off will turn into fat. like chips and whatnot.
and like mike said, cut out all fast food, high-sugar sodas, that diet shit, only helps some, or get the sugar-free stuff. and eating late.
try and come up with a work out plan you could easily do about 2-3 times a week, like tae-bo or some shit like that. (my girlfriend was telling me about some belly dancing shit on TV she does, lol, i'll find out what it is if you want)
i don't know if you got a girl/wife/kids or not, but if you do, then get em to go walking with you around the block a couple times, its what i did, and maybe on the weekends or something, go play some type of active sport, like basketball/football/soccer somethign that will get you moving and your blood flowing.

    oh and if you smoke.....quit!
i doubt you do though, but i'd throw it up anyway.

this is usually my routine when i am trying to lose the pounds. i have 2 or 3 cheat meals throughout the week, but most meals must be a healthy one. I never cut carbs out of my diet because carbs is what your body uses as energy when you exercise. so i eat a lot of carbs for breakfast (grits, whole grain cereal, any kind of wheat bread) and decrease my carb intake as the day progresses and for dinner i eat no carbs. your body needs the energy from carbs throughout the day and when night comes, your body starts to rest and the carbs become sugar and is stored (hence you gain weight). thats the explanation behind that. and all your meals should contain a lot of low fat proteins and vegetables. and include fruits, nuts, and healthy snacks in between meals. also, healthy smoothies help a lot because they are very nutritional and expand in your stomach so you stay full. there are a lot of recipes online. i use www.menshealth.com. as far as exercise goes. i try to run a mile minimum 3-5 days a week. and i lift around 4 days a week. if you are just trying to lose weight, lifting light for about 45 minutes would be good. just try to balance your running days and lifting days. if you can be disciplined, im sure you will be able to see results within a couple weeks. Good Luck.

yea josh try and run like a lap around you neighborhood. cutting back on fast food and what not will keep the fat back but exercising routinley is really where its at. Also you can try the triple fudge cake at wal-mart...eat atleast 3 a day

My advice... Honestly, go get a physical done 1st.. Talk to your doctor.. He will check you out and give you proper advice..

I was up to 260 at one point.. Crazy shit..

I lost 35 lbs since september..

This is what my doctor rec : and is working FOR ME

Dont eat @ night or before bed.. Eat SMALLER portions of food.. drink alot of water..
Cut out all Soda.. Reg or diet.. .. they both are bad..

Of course, eat more fruits and crap like that..

Im in no rush to loose the lbs.. But im glad I have lost all those since Sep..

Everyone is different.. Thats Why I suggest going to your doctor 1st.

    Good luck man!

Julio said it best really... drinks LOTS of water... I use to work with nurses at Aetna Insurance in their Wellness department (health coaching) and they said that you should be drinking about 2 Liters thru out the day. I did this and just portion control (counting calories) and lost about 25 lbs in 6 weeks. Thats without doing exercise or strict dieting. But plenty of water is the way to go.

Also, eat a protein rich breakfast. You need to get breakfast in almost right when you get up. Reason being is that when you're asleep, your body is still working (obviously) but since you're not eating that its almost like a drought for your body. Eating something right when you wake up will jump start your metabolism. I'll then have a protein shake at about 10am, lunch at 12, another shake at 3 then dinner at about 6:30 or 7. For breakfast, I usually just have like 4-5 eggs (eggbeaters or similar, the yolk is what has the carbs and fats so take that out... just keep egg whites) and a bowl of oatmeal. Cinnamon is also good for your heart and blood stream, so if you eat oatmeal or drink coffee, put a little in.

    Hope that helps some.

the way i see how to lose weight
i believe that you can eat what ever you like.
but small portion. dont go for super large combos but small combos =]
    lol

but not only by doing that u wont loose weight but you also gotta stay active

try to run/power walk/walk every other day.(ill say an hour each day) if u cant then try to run twice a week.
first couple of week is going to be hard. but your body will get use to it
you will start seeing result after 2 months.
no BIG DRAMTIC result but it takes time.
its not a over night thing. lol

an easier way to burn fat and gain muscels.
    LIGHTS WEIGHT WITH HIGH REPS
its easier to start off with push ups and sit ups.

sit up- dont do the full up rise but come up an 45 degree angle
push ups- try to do 10-20 a day.
TIP: BREATHING correctly helps you build muscels faster
breath out when u come up for a sit up *it really crunches your abs together

as for push ups. breath out when going down.

DO BASIC WORKOUTS till your body get use to the excerise.
when it does just move on with other workouts you plan to do.

    hopes this works =]

1 of my customers is a personal trainer. he gave me some advice. so i guess i can pass it on.

    no soda
    no fast food
low on carbs unless im going to go work out within the next hour
for me he said i need 3100 cals he had me do all kinds of test to figure this out) a day but in 6 meals (portion control pretty much)
never skip breakfast lunch or dinner
do some form of physical activity a day
when u work out never do the same thing twice in a week keep it changing so your body doesnt get used to the work out and adapt
whenever your working out and it starts to hurt but in a good way keep going and when u think u cant do 1 more do 1 more
whenever your working out and it starts to hurt in a bad way stop asap.
