the reserve is one weekend a month 2 weeks in the summer. but like just chill said be willing to leave because no matter what you may have to. also the a/f just requires higher asvab scoring and since they have better housing usually unless your genuis or have a degree they usually dont have much to offer for bonuses. and the recruiter will try to talk you into all kinds of shit but he has ntohing to do with your job its the liason at meps that sits with you to pick your mos.

heres a word of wisdom. if a job offers a big sign on bonus its usually not all that great otherwise they wouldnt have to offer the bonus. i.e. scouts were getting 10k when i was down at meps but they also sit up on hills and get shot at while calling in artillery. doesnt sound fun to me.
