    Default Anyone play tennis here?

Just wondering if anyone plays tennis here at a 3.5-4.0 NTRP level? I lost my hitting partner (moved to Charlotte) and I don't know anyone else here that plays.

Unless there is someone who enjoys working out to Richard Simmons while watching Doogie Houser, MD, I'd venture to say no. Lolol.

    I used to. Later, QD.

You venture to say that no one here plays competitive tennis? With as many members as this site has, I would beg to differ.

What does Richard Simmons or Doogie Houser have to do with tennis?

Shoot me a PM if interested. Sundays is the best day for me and I am typically free on Wednesday as well.

I typically hit at Chastain or Brookhaven Park, but I am willing to travel to most places on the Northside to hit on Sunday.

I actually would love to get back into it. I played a bit in high school. And played a lot at the golf course in my neighborhood growing up. But it would be some great exercise.

By the way, my gay referencing was only for joking, dude. That's why I also put down that "I used to" play. So cool your jets and relax. Later, QD.

I am relaxed. You know as well as I do, that it is a thread killer when it gets hijacked from the beginning. If you wanted to get back into it, that would have been a great thing to post. If you get back into and want to hit competitively, let me know.

Dont know how long it has been, but there is no time like the present to get back into it. Tennis is like riding a bike. You may get rusty, but it is one of those things that you never forget how to do.

I wasn't hijacking more than I was just putting humor in it. That's just me. It's rare for me to take life serious.

I would drive to Kennesaw on Sundays to hit if you were interested.

Speaking of racquets and the like, I've hit with my LM Prestige Mids for about 4 years and I have wanted to demo/switch to Dunlop Aerogel 100 (I have an M-Fil 200 95, but it lacks the touch I want).

I have looked but I can't find anywhere in Atlanta that carries the Aerogel 100.

Yep Yep.... KPro Staff 88 it came out for Pete Sampras.. Even though he really isnt in the tennis world much. Roger I think is no using it though. That frame is a beast sir. Not really for guys with much top spin... more for flat through the ball strokes...

Federer uses the same pro staff that he has been using since his career started, he might have a new paint job.

I have a Western forehand, but Im still going to demo it and see how I like it.

Yes I know it is going to be painted like the new frames. Its the Pro Staff 6.0 85 thats the orignal its just painted for marketing purposes. Trust me Ive strung on tour for many pro/semi pro tourneys. No racquet is what it is made to look like. They are all totally diff than the raquets in the stores. I coach for Robbie Ginepri and Bobby Reynolds. They own Olde Town athletic club, and thats were I coach, so if you ever wanna stop by and hit on some clay lemme know. I also have the hook up at North Fulton Tennis Center , I was the manager at the tennis shop located in there for many years. Like I said I got the hook up If you need anything. Pm me if you wanna meet up and hit.
