    You're a dummy.

    NCO = Naval Culinary Officer.

    Tis just a joke, dude, based on your self-titled culinary expertise. I signed up for the Navy back in 1989 and didn't make it past MEPS because of my hearing. Later, QD.

    In my 8 years in the AF, I worked with lots of Navy people (as well as Army and Marines).

    The Navy is probably the 2nd best branch to be in. They respect their people a lot more than the Army or Marines, and they pretty much let you do your job and leave you alone the rest of the time.

    On the other hand, you will most likely be on a ship (or submarine) for months at a time, for the majority of the time you're in. So if you love traveling, and aren't too attached to people at home, the Navy is a great choice.

    RUNN!!!!! as an enlisted marine... just run... navy stands for never again volunteer yourself...

    im playing... if anything be an officer if you join the navy. go to college. The enlisted life is long and hard and takes alot of mental determination

    my best friend is in the navy and is on a submarines for 3 month stints at a time twice a year. And there are no girls on the sub...

    But he says he loves it and is going to stay in for life so whatever floats your boat.

    Just make sure you look at what each branch has to offer. After you figure out which one you think will suit you better try your best to find someone who has already done what you want to do and ask them what they really think. Sometimes recruiters may strech the truth. My recruiter was straight up with me and I knew exactly what I was getting into I cant say the same for others.

    not true in the least unless you are on a sub, then I dont know.

    If you enjoy traveling and you get yourself a decent job you could have a shitload of fun in the Navy. You have to deal with alot of BS, but that is true of any service. I was on a boat for 7 weeks, and I have been stationed with Navy and all of them say the same things. It sucks til you hit E-4, but its still fun.

    If you are serious about joining, sign that initial paperwork that secures you job quickly. A recruiter friend of mine told me that Army's tech jobs are filling up quick because of the economy so they are getting harder to get into. I cant imagine that the Navy would be any different.
