Default The best Metro Atlanta Restaraunts?

My 20th is coming up and I want to take the wife somewhere super nice. We have eaten at several of the upscale places but looking for something really nice/different since this is such a special occasion for both of us.

    Thanks for any mature suggestions.

    Fogo De Chao

    Bones

Agave is alright...I wasnt a huge fan but a lot of people like it.

Canoe looks great, never eaten there.

Thats all I got, I dont go out to eat a lot, other people normally have to drag me along.

Listen homie, girls love to be pampered and if done correctly, you will discover their love for the naughty game of dress up in the bedroom.

If you are dealing with the opposite type of girl, then run for you life.

Girls don't dress up for you, they dress up for the other b!tches trying to look hot.

Good point, I should have thought more in depth before posting.

Fill me in with what kind of foods she likes and also your budget for the entire night?

I can make some magic happen.

Hey Chris, this is One Tuning Tuner from over at streetcarforums... Well the wife and I really have enjoyed Fogo De Chao many times over. It puts you down in the heart of Buckhead so anything there after dinner should be easily attainable.... Hope you two have a great time and congrads on the 20 years... Tell Mrs. Bugman the same thing.....

In the past 20 years there isn't a whole lot we haven't experienced.

Were celebrating it on a Wednesday night (Oct. 8th) because of work.
    Available from 6pm til whenever.
Neither of us are picky food wise but steak and sushi is a +.
    Looking for something very memorable.
    No budget.

If you and her are into really good asian cuisines check out red snapper off of cheshire bridge road. It doesn't look to pleasing to the eye when you pull up and she'll probably be wondering where the hell is he taking me; but when she walks inside she'll definately be wondering how the hell you found it. Food is amazing and the envoirment is really relaxed/intimate. Check it out

Here's a link for more info. PM me if you want anymore suggestions congrats and good luck!

I've been to Nava twice and enjoyed it quite a bit. It's Southwestern cuisine, the atmosphere is nice, and the food is excellent.

Congrats on 20 yrs Chris! I am coming up on 5 yrs, myself, next month. Time flies, huh? Although, thinking back on it...we have been through a lot too. I hope you have another great 20 yrs! You'll have to fill us in on how it went. I am trying to come up with a nice place to take my wife too.

Thanks man it honestly doesn't seem like even 10 years have gone by but we had fun doing all 20 and wouldn't change a thing.

Will do Sir. I think we are set on Fogo De Chao being delivered by an Excursion Limo, carriage rides afterwards and whatever else we can come up with.

Oh and Brett you need to make sure and bring your little one out for the Halloween Party (for kids) this year. We have several things for the little ones to enjoy also. No alcohol and mostly kids and their parents so it is a very relaxing night for most.

Everyone else thank you very much for all of the suggestions. Several came up that I have never heard of. I saved every rest. suggested and planning on trying them all out in the next few months. Nothing like having a reason to get out of the house for a night or two right?

    Thanks again!

Personally, I would go for Canoe. Their food is amazing, great service and the setting is beautiful. You can walk out along their river garden after dinner for some great romantic moments. It's not right in the middle of the city so you don't have to put up with parking hassles or traffic. Their wine selection is top notch as well.

My post from another similar thread:

I can definitly point you toward some nice restaurants, but ambiance costs $$$, so anywhere nicer than your typical Outback, Longhorn kind of place gets expensive. Ive eaten at a LOT of restaurants, here are some of my top picks. Im not gonna list seafood restaurants cause im allergic to most of it, so i dont eat there...

Sundial at the top of the Westin hotel in Atlanta is nice,(+$100 for two) been there a few times. went there for our 1yr anniversary. Great ambiance, 360 degree view of the city, give you stemware (just one) with the Sundial logo on it. Great food (steak/seafood)

Wildfire by perimiter mall. Steak and seafood. Hands down the BEST steak i have ever eaten, also pricey (+$100 for two), great atmosphere, open kitchen (you can see it from where you sit), been there a couple times, have never been disapointed.

Rays family restaurants (Rays in the city, Rays on the River, Rays Killer Creek) Also steak and seafood. Ive havent been to the City yet, other two arent AS expensive. but still be prepared to leave the better part of 100 bucks The service here is excellent, almost better than the food. but i wont knock the food at all. Occasionally they have live music

LaStrada in Marietta/Roswell, One of the better Italian places ive been to. Smaller, more quaint and nostalgic. Priced around the same as olive garden, but better quality food. and from what i remember, they have the paper tablecloths that you can draw on.

canoe is great, especially if you get a table w/a view of the river.

could also recommend veni vedi vici or bluepointe, both offer great food and service.

if you want something a bit more interactive give dante's down the hatch a shot but just be sure to get a table on the ship.
