People want things handed to them w/o any work. Work is not easy by definition or it wouldn't be work at all. You call it being "scared", I call it telling it like it is.

Name one real example of where a Christian DIDN'T "live" their life to the "fullest" simply BECAUSE they were Christian.

yes god is supreme but it makes humans out to be better than anyother living organism on this planet. and the fact that animals serve humans? there only existance is to feed us, now thats a little farfetched for me to believe

Have you ever thought about the possibility that some people CHOOSE to believe the content rather than dig to China to find where something was misspelled or mistranslated???????

Just because I call something a HOUSE and you call it a HUT does NOT change the fact that BOTH are a roof over someone's head. You call it one thing and I another, yet we both SAY the same basic thing.

This is where my comment of "getting something for nothing" came from.

You can't expect to get a wonderful eternal afterlife by simply muddling thru life and doing what YOU "feel is right". You have to EARN it. It's not that hard. The sacrifice was already laid down for you on the cross, but you have to make a concious effort and decision to BELIEVE that act. WHEN you do, THEN you are worthy of reaping the rewards. UNTIL THEN, you are not worthy and you will NOT receive it. That's the bottomline and that's reality (as we Christians see it of course).

This is why I said to you earlier that going by your Ho-Hum stance on how to live life, it would seem that you were expecting things to be given vs earned. That's all I'm saying.

That may be true, but you are indeed a sinner regardless. You said that you have a problem with Christians thinking they're all high and mighty because they can "sin" and then merely ask for forgiveness and everything is hunky dorry. Well, my point to you was simply that atleast THEY are asking for forgiveness whereas you don't. Both of you are sinners the same, but only one asks for forgiveness. Follow that?

God gives no restrictions on WHOM he is going to forgive. Jesus died for ALL of us the same. The only caveat is that you must truly be sorry for what you did, you must acknowledge what you did, and you must not repeat it.

Well the way I look at it this world is too perfect to be coincedence. We are made up of water, why water? why not something else? Our cells live off oxygen, why? Something had to make us to live off of specifically what this planet has to offer. They way the eco systems work, etc.. The supply of food (animals). The human body and its systems are very well designed. It's hard to imagine it's all evolution. There is no way this is all just random. Otherwise why wouldn't things evolve on mars or some other planets? Then when you think that people used to walk barefoot, and live in caves compared to everything we've made today with things from this earth it's really amazing.

Then I wonder sometimes if the bible was created to make people have some kind of guilt for their actions. Looking at just New Orleans you can see the chaos that people are capable of when they have no sense of consequences. What if you die, and thats it? You don't go anywhere. I hope we atleast find out what this was all for and how it came about.
