I went to the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in NYC. I was in their Computer Art program, which consisted of 3D Animation and Modeling major and a Dynamic Media, aka. motion graphics, compositing, roto, effects, etc. Their accrediation taken directly from their website:

The School of Visual Arts is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council on Higher Education Accreditation.

SVA is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, and is a member of the International Association of Independent Schools for Art and Design, AIAS.
The thing I LOVE about that school was all their professors are some of the industries biggest names. You were basically being taught by your future bosses. It's great to have CURRENT working professionals as your facility because they are a great foot in the door. I got my first job at Psyop Inc. my second year into college because my Dynamic Media II professor was J.Bills, the lead compositor and rotoscoper for all the recent Peter Jackson movies (Lord of the Rings, King Kong, etc.) He taught me so much and helped me get my foot in the door at an early start! Soon after that, I was working and freelancing at a few production houses in New York, all because of my professors and the knowledge I got from them.

I really, REALLY recommend that school to any artist who is looking to make their art as a series, and successful career.
