I was reading on a body building forum about this. They talked about how much energy you use while lifting wieghts. They said if you run before your workout you'll loose most of that energy from running. I think thats right. You should also be lifting for a struggle to make any improvement. For example, don't do 10pds. curls and then stop after 3 sets and not feel anything. you should do, maybe, 20pds. curls for 3 sets for how ever many reps you choose.
