Claudia Scarlett is an awesome name and a beautiful pick. Not sure where you got it from but I don't think you could find a prettier name for a baby girl.

Gotcha on the family name thing... Nothing could mean more and if the rest of the world would get back to some meaning of life we all may be spared.

There are tons of good first names for Eugene IMO.
