Default Who goes fishing and whats HoT!

Fishing is one of my great hobbies; just got back from Oconee Lake awhile ago. Had a big ass catfish but couldn't pull it up onto where I was at since I was on the pier. Next time I'mma bring a net. Anyways, What are some great hotspots you anglers and outdoor people like to go and works. I was gonna try Lake Hartwell & Seminole sometime soon. So far I've tried Buford Dam, chatahoochee river, jones bridge park. Got tired of catching trout and would like some bass this time. Deep sea fishing is my ultimate task sometime in the future.

man! fishing is my new hobby! i've been fishing atleast once a week for the past month or two. i really suck at it, but i still enjoy myself. i haven't been anywhere up north, but i've been to a lot of spots south of atlanta. i went to lake sinclair and caught a decent amount of catfish and brim. there's a park in conyers call "black shoals." the last time i was there, there was a guy a few yards away from me, who caught about 20 hybrids. there's also a dam a few miles east of covington, i can't remember the name of it for the life of me, but i know EXACTLY how to get there. it's owned by georgia power, and there's a large section on it that's a park area. there's a pier for you to fish off of right behind the damn. i went there twice and had some luck with brim, bass, and carp. the brim there bit on wax worms, the bass i caught with a minnow, and i used some corn for the carp (that's illegal i think though). that place is beautiful too man. you should pm me sometime man, i'd be more than happy to fish with you.

It sounds like you live hella far from me; haha. I've never been to conyers or covington or near that area. I'm close to the Mall of Ga; about 20 minute drive. Just wanting to know some hotspots & techniques since I am not an expert.

Lake Allatoona, Banks Lake, Blue Ridge Lake, Chatuge Lake, Hartwell Lake, J. Strom Thurmond Lake, Lake Blackshear, Lake Jackson, Lake Seminole, and Nottely Lake are all really good and notable bass fishing lakes. Just look them up and see which is closest to you.

I love bass fishing but prefer trout fishing. Places like D ick's Creek and Conasauga River are really great places. I've never been to Conasauga River but its suppose to be one of the top 100 trout streams in the nation.

Make sure you have your fishing license and legal bait and hooks. Good luck.

Yea, I've been catching trout in the past 2 months and got tired of how too easy it was. I'd like to catch some stripers, bass, walleyes and BIG FISH! If only I had a boat!!! I've only been using the usual small/big worms lately.

That's a good collection right there. I'd love to have that much on a weekends worth. All these lakes i've never heard of; i'm missing out!
