Thats why Cobb County wouldn't let Marta build a station here in the first place. But crime isn't exactly any better in Cobb than it is anywhere else around Atlanta.

    Valid point. +1

Until the stupid city and surrounding county legislators get their act together and put aside all racist hatred BS, municipal fund crap and general fck-you-fck-me sh*t, none of our ideas will even be heard, let alone implemented. Their callous attitude has already put ATL at #2 (or #3?) on the 'cities with the worst traffic jams' list. Need further proof? ATL wasn't anywhere close to the top 10 cities for worst traffic jams in '04, jumped straight to #4 in '05, pushed aside DC some early last year and is now trying to take the infamous crown from LA. Oh, and ATL's drivers are amongst the 10 worst drivers in the nation. Brilliant stats, I must say.

Atlanta was actually number 9 in 2001 and 2002. Number 8 in 1999. So they've been in the Top 10 for almost 10 years now. Later, QD.

That's possible. But if that's the case, ATL dropped out of the top 10 during the early part of this decade. From my source on the web for 2005 (http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/arc...worst_traffic/)
This year’s big mover was Atlanta, which debuted in the “very large”
city category at number four, just a notch below Washington.
There's no "possible" about it. It's so.

That article cites "this year's biggest mover." They've been in the Top 10 since 1998. Later, QD.
