dell use a eprom chip to store the bios password on you probaly wanna call them and just give them the service tag id and they'll give you a password to reset the bios other then that you'll have to replace another eprom from the same laptop that doesnt have the bios pass on it.i would recomend call dell first they usually do those for free anyway so you dont really waste anything but time
