i just kinda started bowling about 3 weeks ago, we go on fridays for rec games, and now im hooked. I usually try and go 2 times a week if i can. Last night was the first time I have started to throw it with spin, my high score was about a week ago, 169, but I didnt know how to use spin then, i would just throw it straight down the middle. hopefully when i perfect the art of spin, my scores will improve. what bowling balls do some of you have? im thinking of getting one (bowling ball), cuz im sick of searching all over the building, and then not even finding what i want.

btw: go here and sign up for this thing, in about a day or so, they send you a coupon for a free hour of bowling, you just have to pay for the shoes, and it works for multiple ppl. www.bonuszone.com

I have a few balls for different conditions. I have a couple of the "Inferno" series from brunswick:Absolute Inferno, and Ultimate Inferno. Also a couple of Lane 1 balls, I have to "Gold Nuggets". A "Real Deal", a Storm "Depth Charge", an "Animal" and a few others. I have got an undrilled Gold Nugget its 16lbs. its a fairly aggressive ball, I love the way it hits. PM me if you want tha hook up.

Nah,sorry man no 10 lb ballz here. But I do have tha hookup on bowling equipment, I could easily get you one. As far a recommending something for a beginner, I dont know, Im not really one to "coach" or recommend something for a beginner. However if I went bowling with you I could suggest some things to help. I think Storm has some balls that would be good for you, they all react to a specific lane condition and it is kinda hard to tell you. If I saw you throw a ball I could probably help. Dunno man, lets set up a damn meet in Roswell. Oh, and about throwing a sixteen lb ball, I think you could, you would adapt pretty quickly I would think, If not 16, 15 or 14 at least. holla

Yea, I'll do a little more research and see what type of ball I want, then I'll check and see what prices you can get them at, if thats ok. lol, I don't know about the 16,15,or 14 lb ball, I am only 135 pounds, lol, and quite small. But I could give it a shot.

Is there some balls that are just all around good? and can be used for most lane conditions?

That would be awesome to meet at Roswell Brunswick sometime, but I need to get a little better so I don't feel like I'm wasting your time. Thanks for all the help man.

Most major brand balls are pretty competitive with each other. Just off the top of my head, Storm. Storm is a decent ball, and it was the first ball I shot some decent numbers with. I bowl with a guy on Tue. night and he weighs about 135 and throws a mean ass 16 lb ball, its all about the approach, he runs up to the line and just killz em. I bowl for fun anyway noone would be wasting my time.

I bought some random ball from sports authority don't even know the brand, but it works well. So far its worked fine in all lane conditions i've been in. It really just depends on how you approach and that will determine your bowl imo.

wow, i can't imagine throwing a 16 pound ball, i had to use a 12 the other night (all of the balls i wanted were taken), and it fealt like i coudn't get any power on it. There was a few balls I liked a lot in the Brunswick pro shop thing, for around 75-85 bucks including drilling the holes, i may get one of those sometime.

the thing that pissed me off the most about not having my own ball, was that it was really crowded the other night so we had to get a ticket and wait till the number was called. i was looking for a 10 pound ball, and found one, but our number wasnt called yet so we just sat it on the shelf right by us, about 10 seconds later a woman walks up and just takes it off the shelf....

then in the middle of our game, after we had found a decent ball, we went and ordered some food, and while we were gone someone came up and took our ball right off the holder on our lane....we were so pissed, but werent sure who took it. so basically i need to get a ball sometime.

well this is the ball i was looking at in the brunswick pro shop, it looks pretty sweet in person IMO. just kinda wondering what you all thought about it, performance wise. I am a COMPLETE NOOB to bowling, have only been playing about 3 weeks, but i'm hooked. I just want a ball to have so i dont have to go around the entire building looking for one, then never finding it. Do you have any idea what price you could get this at? thank you.

Pretty much any ball I get, will be better than the ones supplied at brunswick right?
