check these sites out and it'll help you have some much needed info about GFL and the do's and don'ts about firearms and the legislation behind it.

thanks for the links... I checked georgiapacking out already (found it through google).

I'm still kinda up in the air about this... My move back to Athens date just got moved to like next month, so I might just wait until I move home.

Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.

Do it before you move. That way by the time you get there it will be there hopefully.

You can't do that. She has to apply at the county she resides in at the time of application. Unless she never changed her DL, this won't be possible.

No, because just like any state issued license, your information SHOULD be correct and updated within 30 days of moving to a new location. Yes, she could technically get it and not worry about it, but what's the use really. No real advantage.

Just FYI, I just renewed mine here in Gwinnett. You have to go through the whole application process during both initial and renewal of application now anyway. I had my renewed license w/i 2 wks. It wasn't that big a deal at all.

i know, just saying, if chatham took less time to process a gfl in than whatever county athens is in then i'd do it just for the sake of it saving some time.

I kinda figured that's what you were getting at. I think that it's pretty quick, since in Gwinnett which is much bigger than Clarke and it doesn't take that long at all.

you dont have to have a CCW license to carry a gun outside ur home. it just cant leave ur vehicle. i would buy a gun now and carry it wit me when i go out if i were u just dont take it out of the car. ur vehicle is an extension of ur home so u dont need to have a CCW when ur riding in ur car, just keep in mind the gun either needs to be in the glove box or in a visible place of the vehicle (passenger seat). also keep in mind that the gun CAN be loaded but there CANT be a bullet in the chamber.

since ur car has been into broken to already u may not want to do this, so i would buy a gun or get one of ur dads and apply for ur CCW ASAP. especially if ur not planing on moving for a couple of months, remember it's better to be safe then sorry.

i own a rifle for home protection and im only 20, i have had the same rifle since i was 18 and u better believe when i turn 21 ill be buying a hand gun and applying for my CCW the same day.

anyway i hope that u remain safe though and wish u well while ur down there.

    P.S. buy a damn gun

one more time for the NOOBS

I heard someone type on here about getting in trouble for having an unregister gun...
    - Dont have to register guns in GA

I Kept reading people say CC and CCW .. there is no CC or CCW in ga... CCW is just a general term, almost every state has a different term. CC wtf ? def wrong way to say it..
GA is OC state.. meaning, is OPEN CARRY.. You can conceal or open carry as you please aslong as you have a license... which is a license, not a permit
    In GA is called GFL.

    Ok, Im done.
