I have to disagree. Many men are completely owned by their wives. Even though you may feel to grown to use the term "whipped", it makes the term no less valid. There is a mutual respect that doesn't exist in say "highschool", but one will always wear the pants. PERIOD

YOU may think he is whipped by your standards but he may be happy in his situation. Not every marriage is the same, some people grew up with a void in their life and on some level their spouse may fill that void.

The woman who may appear to have her husband run her life may be fulfilling the void of the lack of a father figure in her life, and it gives her a sense of security.. if she has a man who wants her to be her own woman she is not happy.

Same goes for a man, some men feel a need to have a woman who has more direction or assertiveness than he, does this make him less of a man? No, because if they are both happy in love then you cannot criticize them for finding what makes THEM happy.

In every relationship there is "Balance" not "who wears the pants," The whole idea that the man must run every aspect of the relationship is chauvinist and says nothing to me but insecurity.

Sorry that not everyone is as enlightened as you are.

I guess families were doing it all wrong during the time in society where:
    1. The man was the head of the household 2.The female counterpart stayed home and raised the offspring 3. Said offspring was accounted for at all times and weren't off killing or car jacking or robbing anyone. 4. Divorces weren't a common thing. People had morals and values.

    Seriously, wtf were they thinking?

You my friend are a dumbass. I think what has happened is that women are actually sort of standing up for themselves now and realize they deserve to do whatever they want to with their life. Not how you are describing, where women are expected to stay at home, raise the kids, and not have a career.

I'd much rather have things the way they are today.
