Default Good weight Suppliment for Lifting

ok so i go to the gym almost every day. do different groups of muscles every day and what not. I Right now i am at 158lbs trying to get up to bout 170 or 180, i know thats going to take a while. But what i am wandering is what is a good suppliment for lifting to help me on this. Right now im doing the 100% whey protein shakes usually either one in the mornign and one before i go to bed, or one before i go to the gym and one after.I also eat alot during the day, But what else is there? i feel like im starting to slow down in gain, not nessarily in strength, but mostly weight. anyone have any idea's on what might be a good path to take and a healthy one?

do you want size? or do you want to be 180 ripped?

either way, you want to eat as if you are at the size you want to be

i.e. if you want to be 180, eat like you're 180. which will probably mean you will have to increase the intake of your calories. not necessarily buncha junk food, but just eat more.

and genetics plays a role too. some people can go from 150 -> 200. some people can go from 150 ->155.

just continue lifting heavy for a while. 4->6 reps of like 5-6 sets. and get a good 2.5 minute (2min 30 second) rest between sets. watch your form too. you don't want to put yourself in a situation where you injure yourself and can't do **** for a while (like me). as far as eating, continue eating a lot. eat a lot before you sleep. not right after, but a little after.

i have used creatine. it works great. now i haven't used creatine w/ nitric oxide mixed. i don't really feel comfortable with nitric oxide as i don't believe there has been too much research on it which brings to question the risk factors involved. but creatine generally works good (some people use it without any effects).

Superpump 250 Creatine. Made my drive to throw more weight increase and went up big time in weights. Shot up from not working out in 2 years to abs, and big arms. My shoulders got big too. I fill up shirts completely now and look pretty cut most days.
Get on some healthy diet too, that helps big time.
Also, drink your water! A gallon + a day!

yeah im trying to eat as much as i can, and in fact i weighed myself the other day and it said that i was at 160 so i was happy i had finally gotten back there again, i try to eat as much as i can. I have heard about creatine, both good and bad so im not really sure, and i know about the low weight high reps deal. my hardest part to getting bigger is my arms, there so damn long and lanky that its hard to show true build, takes forever to actually increase. i am seeing a very slower one, but its slow.

Everything mentioned is good advice..I work out about 6 days a week, and I work @ GNC when im not @ school or the gym, so here's a tip...

Try different suppliments..everything works different for different people. If you've ever heard of Muscle-Tech or BSN(no-explode is there major seller) they are perhaps the highest selling stuff...But personally MRI products work best for me.

You need some kind of creatine(powder form not pills...pills dont enter your system fast enough) and some kind of Nitric Oxide, and make sure your taking a Whey Protein..

btw, creatine is only going to hurt you if you dont take in enough water..drink 10 bottles of water a day and your good to go..the creatine will take care of your arms as long as you consistantly work them..

Im starting N02, N30, and CellMass on friday, ontop of using the Goat Whey Protein(33grams of protein out of 35grams each scoop)

your body can only take in 33 grams of protien @ a time..so its more than you need...Get on a consistant workout, find some suppliements that work for you and go for it..

But remember, 80% of its Nutrition, 10% how hard you work, 10% is genetics....

GL let us know how it works for ya!

n02 is alright but it sucked for me, it makes you have a good pump while youre working out and for a good bit after youre done. the only bad thing is it makes it so you can't really do that many reps because your arms are so bumped after the first few.

which is why you take creatine with it so you can have more reps...an the N30 keeps you focused and give's you more stamina..

is creatine any good? ive heard good and bad things about it but i've never tried it. the only reason i tried the n02 is that it was only $20. i gained alot from a good high protein diet, working out 5 days a week and PLENTY of rest.

Creatine is good as long as it has Esther in it...it makes sure you dont have "water retentioin" so you don't look bloated. Its only harmful if you don't drink water with it, because your body naturally produces creatine. GL man.

I have a friend who is a personal trainer. He sets people up for those 45 day Before and After programs. It's insane what he can do for people--WHO ARE SERIOUS about changing the way they look.

Some tips I picked up from him:

    1. +1 for protein, after working out and before you go to bed

    2. +1 for eating like there's no tomorrow, but: be mindful to eat right...it's the quality and the quantity of food per day. Make eating your 2nd full-time job. That's basically what I've come to realize. 5-6x a day...protein shakes count as a meal. I, usually, eat something with them.

    3. +1 for less reps and more weight...if you're going the more rep route, you can maximize your workout by the speed at which you rep. This can be equal to less reps and the more weight route.

    4. Also, get plenty of rest--closest to 8 hours/day if possible. Make sure your muscles have enough time to recover in between the times that you work them out.

    5. Oh yeah, free weights FTW!!! Everyone has their own opinion on what to use...free weights or the machines. I've found that I'm pushed harder with the free weights, plus you work out your stabilizer muscles more than the machines.

Hope that was of some help.

i wouldn't take cratine. once you stop working out, all it turn into is water and it makes your skin look flabby.

i take muscle milk. if you want to gain, its all about your caloric intake. you want to be at around 4-6k calories a day. and eat the most before going to bed. when you sleep, it takes the least amount of calories and energy, so the nutrients can go towards repairing the body. also when bulking, try to do workouts that work out a group of muscles. you only do isolation workouts when you are trying to make that specific muscle cut and look ripped.
i try to stay away from any substance, aside from muscle milk.
oh and be sure to make a multi- vitamin. will all the food and working out you are doing, it is overing working the body, so take vitamins to regulate the function of the body.
in one month- muscle milk and eating lots of chicken breast- i gained 5 lbs. of mass. and i could already tell i was getting bigger.

    Some good advice in here

If you are starting to slow down in gains, also try switching up your routine and excersizes. Keep your muscles guessing so to speak. Example, if you curl with cables, switch to dumbells or just a different machine or vice versa. There where time that I would have to do more than one choice for each muscle to even get gains. And sometimes you just will go through a slow gain period that cant really be helped also.

actually thats a common misconception...even though creatine puts water in your muscles, it's drained out of your system within a few days, which is why when you take creatine you have to constantly piss. The only reason anyone will have water retension is if you dont do cardio and your not naturally skinny. I know Ive taken it and blown up, but after about a week off creatine the "swoll" look went away...but there is alot of good advice in what you posted

good stuff in here but ive been in your shoes before and still am. i weigh about 140 soaking wet. first off supplements are just that supplements. eating a ton wont do **** for you if it isnt the right stuff. you need to eat stuff with a ton of calories in it. being light you can afford to eat stuff with a little more fat content but not much more. keep changing up your routines. herschel walker did nothing except 1k situps and 1k pushups everyday and look at him in his prime. some days stay away from the weights and just do cardio or use your own body weight for resistance.
also creatine is ok for you as long as its not creatine monohydrate(means it retains water) take something like no-xplode or mass x (pre and post workout) its good stuff.

i was reading sumthin about how eating a cup of cottage cheese b4 bed helps b/c sumthin bout the proteins in it take a longer time to break down so they stay in your system through the night. ITs kinda true i guess, i was on a plan a couple months back and in about a months time i went from 142 to 158. Just eat like 6 eggs in tha mornin and some oatmeal, and two more small snacks b4 lunch, then at lunch eat a big salad and a huge turkey sandwhich and just kind of keep the eating up through out the rest of the day.

i'm trying to get my back wider too. some exercises i can't really describe, but here are a few.

for back do wide grip pull ups, seated row, anything that involves being bent over and pulling up with your arms to your sides. anytime you do it just concentrate on those muscle and flex them while you are working your back.

for abs just do a **** load of sit ups, leg lifts and crunches. you can work your abs out everyday without doing damage to your muscles.

    does that help any?

#1 thing for getting ripped is proper diet and cardio. Hands down. a solid routine. weather you choose to add suplements are not.

tons of lat pull downs. I will post up some videos or links for you.
