Keep it! There is not a more useful or practical hobby out there...no matter where you are or what time it is there is always a shot to be had if you happen to be bored. You'll be on vacation or whatever one day and wish you had it all!
I understand where you're coming from though: busy job and steady gf will take alot of it away...leaving little time for your hobbies. In my case I use it to my benefit, there's not a single event I pull my camera out and don't have a chick come up and talk to me
