I'm in New Orleans today and this is the top story in the city. There were bunches of buses that filled up this morning in NO to go to Jena. There's a rumor that lots of them were paid with either free food or cash. Who but the unemployed would have time to get on a bus on a Thursday morning to a little podunk town in the middle of nowhere for a day? From some of the interviews and comments on the local stations I'd bet 95% of the people protesting have no idea what the chain of events are.
Whether you agree with the issue or not, it's comical to watch 60,000 out of town people infiltrate a city like Jena which only has 3,000 residents. Guess everybody's looking for their 10 minutes of fame.
