Savannah has the highest per capita crime rate of any city in the US.. it's a horrible town. And it is a tiny town.. people try to act like it's a big city or whatever, but it's a small town.. you see the same cars around town, the same people in restaurants... same everything.

And the Tech campus isn't near Savannah at all.. it's over by the airport which is about a 20/30 minute drive from downtown.

I've lived in Atlanta and I've lived in Savannah and trust me... I miss Atlanta... a lot...

And the UGA/Tech argument has been going on for over a hundred years... don't try to get all patronizing and ask why I'm picking fights.
my family has been in savannah since '98 and my parents and friends are still there now. only thing that's ever happened to us is one broken window when my parents had their car parked behind our restaurant way back in the day late at night and my dad's shop got robbed not that long ago. aside from that it's really not that bad of a place if you know where NOT go go, much like any place else in macon, atlanta, wherever. and having gone to uga for 2 yrs i can't believe you'd think savannah is that small, it's a pretty large city, not compared to atlanta maybe but that's not saying much...same cars and same ppl? maybe you just keep going to the same places...
