To me there are no words more profound, beautiful and scary at the same time. The Bible keeps you in check, if you can take a few moments a day to actually concentrate, read and reflect on what you’ve read. I hate to read so I bought myself “The Jesus Bible” that incorporates a lot of interesting things into the reading so it’s not so monotonous.
I’m new to Christianity, always knew in my heart that God existed but never was introduced, until I met my husband a few years back. He opened my eyes and heart to a love so great that words can’t truly express it’s impact! I’m so grateful to him for that. And I, in turn, introduced my mom to that love and she is happier & more complete now than she’s ever been in the 60 years she’s been alive! She even got baptized and thanked me in front of the entire church for being her “Angel”.
I often wonder what various types of people do when they are in great pain. When you are lying on the side of a cliff, paralyzed from a horrible fall you’ve just taken, or when you are lying helpless and fractured beside the motorcycle you’ve just been thrown from, what will bring you comfort? Praying to God
will bring you comfort. The “good will” of the people who come to your rescue
will bring you comfort. As you lye there, broken and helpless, rest assured that someone cares and, even if help is beyond man’s ability, God will be there, in the end, to comfort you and carry your soul away from it’s broken shell into everlasting peace.
Good>Bad, Nice>Mean, Happy>Sad, Heaven>Hell
That’s my choice in life, happy that there are good people like you around to support me along the way. Thanks for posting the poem and the scriptures, made my day…
