you guys have reading comprehensions of like two year olds...tell me where do I explicitly or implicitly imply that we should ban guns? I never said we should ban guns. I just said that having assault rifles is basically overkill. I was also lamenting the fact that a lot of people who have guns are your average joes and will believe anything in the media...that is very dangerous!
why are you bringing in alcohol to this discussion? what does that have anything remotely to do with guns? What you are doing is called a red herring (a logical fallacy): you are detracting away from the subject to try to make your point, by introducing something that has nothing to do with the topic on hand. Alcohol and guns are two VERY DIFFERENT THINGS. Stop applying the same logic to every single thing you can think of that is bad. Guns are meant to kill people, in very basic terms, and for the politically correct crowd "used to protect property/life." Alcohol is a drink, used for personal enjoyment. The use of alcohol does not include killing yourself and other people, but some people make it so it is. Too bad they don't receive darwin awards for it, because that's what they deserve! If you are stupid enough to drive home hammered and happen to kill yourself, you have done everyone a favor by taking your genes out of the gene pool. "But that's so insensitive" uhh well every choice comes with consequences. If you can't deal with it don't do it. Or simple, don't drink and drive! Same for any other occasion while drunk: if you can't handle the consequences, don't do it.
