Sounds like you have a problem with the word black. If there was no upn or Bet u wouldn't never see Black person on TV except for sports. I call that racist that there are few shows on network tv that appeal to other races other than white. The real sad thing is that the few blacks shows that are on tv play into the Black stereotype.

I do agree that Jesse Jackson cries woof to many times, but I do see (also a lot of black) where he is coming from to a certain degree on the Katrina matter. Katrina just showed the entire country how blacks still don't trust white ppl and the gov't. Katrina was a disaster, that I feel that would still turn out shitty if it where white ppl that were stuck in New Orleans. But I still have that feeling that more heads would have rolled if majority of those people where white that were stuck in New Orleans. I have that kind of thought process, b/c as a kid I heard the true stories of what blacks and also what family members had to endure in this country. I am not talking about the 50’s; I am talking about as early as the med 90’s

I expected this response. But your missing the point, the racist action is in the NAME. It suggests that only Blacks can watch. You arguing that other channels consist mostly of whites, is true, but an invalided argument, and has nothing to do with my argument. Feel free to start a network with the majority of the on air talent being black, that’s fine. But the second you call it BLACK Entertainment, that’s racist. This would pertain to any race.

Maybe your right. But that accusation needs proof, people of this country cant call a disaster like that to be a racial matter with out significant proof. Personally i dont think it was a racial matter in regards to the delayed response.

a very long way to go. I would love if we could all drop the racial issues, but its just not going to happen.
