Atlanta has a some really good tattoo shops. You're gonna get a million and one replies about different places and people.
I personally and most of the younger generation in my family has used Tommy Stegall of Black Cat Tattoos in Decatur. Tommy has been tattooing for over 15yrs. He own's Black Cat and has done tons of work. I have 2 half sleeves/chestplates done by Tommy.
He's very qualified and his prices are reasonable(if he likes the tattoo he's gonna do). They won Creative Loafing's Best Tattoo shop 2005. He also makes vintage tattoo machines for artists all over the world. They're called Old School Irons.
When I was gonna get my 1st tattoo a cousin told me to go to as many shops as possible and talk to the artists and employees. Whichever place makes you feel the most comfortable, then those are the people you deal w/.
Good luck w/ your tats. I love all of mine.
