A LOT of advice in this thread is WRONG. Such as...
1.Muscle burns fat.
2.If you do more reps with lighter weight it will make you more "toned" or "ripped"
Both of the above statements are completely wrong. Muscle builds up underneath fat, so no matter how many sit-ups you do you wont notice any difference because there will be a layer of fat covering your abs. The second statement is false because more reps with lower weights will still only build muscle...just not as much as if you used heavier weights.
A lot of people suggested doing cardio and this is correct, but you have to mix cardio with a proper diet. Cardio is good for losing weight because it burns calories. The best time to do cardio would be in the morning when your body hasnt had any food in it for about 8 hours. This is the best time to do cardio because instead of burning the calories for food you've just eaten your body starts to breakdown stored fat cells to burn the calories. When it comes to losing weight it's all about calories.
If anyone wants any more info they can PM me, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
