Not sure but that symbol's all over my Corolla. Oil cap, bottom side of the valve cover, and my key.
That symbol is actually the katakana symbols for the word toyota, so yes they would be all over the older toyotas. トヨタ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota ) ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katakana )
