    eh, i have a longblock that i purchased off a member on starquestclub.com after i get the car running i am going to take the other block apart check it out and probley sell it piece by piece. i know the turbo is still good and i know the head is still good. crank could possibly be polished out

    i wanna get better ic and piping, BOV, and find someone who makes a set of lowering springs for it... it needs to be lowered some... the paint could use work and it has minor rust on the right rear quarter panel at the bottom.

    i know where one is its a 88 same color as mine. but with black leather and it has a sunroof its a non SHP car only thing wrong with it is a blown headgasket, but i want it just because the body is immaculate. it has 131xxx miles on it or so, very nice car i was gonna get it for my supra turbo i had but i found this one that was running and the seller wound up being a liar and the oil pump went out on me the next day lol thats my luck for you.

    It's only due to lack of proper maintainance dude.

    Wait - you got a Palermo Conquest? It's hard to tell with the night photos if its silver, palermo, or shetland beige ( granted I see a black interior, and it's kind of light to be shetland )

    For springs, you have Eibachs ( discontinued but can find used ),Mookeeh's, Ground Control coilovers, Cosmo Racing coil overs.

    BOV? Grab a 1st gen DSM, crush it, and get it spliced into the factory cloth pipe for now. I've had the same one since 2005, and it hasn't failed me once Loud as hell too ( I fooled an S2000 into thinking I had a 2JZ or a huge turbo apparently )

    As for IC - look into Mookeeh's stuff ( he sells mostly on ebay ), KDM ( if you don't get banned LOL ) or just used stuff.

    I feel shitty aobut the seller being a dick about lying, though it was a risk with that oil pump, but to not return any calls or anything afterwards... that's just something that is highly frowned upon within the club.

    ... is that a tan interior that I see?

    yes its tan leather, non sunroof and the car is more of a champenge color. it is also a 89, so everything is a little more beefy.119,000 miles on car.

    But it would be nicer if the 4g had been created for these. I want a Starion so bad, I just don't know if I'm going to have the patience for DSM's anymore when I'm done with my Talon lol.

    It will be very reliable, but only god knows how much damage you have to undo before it gets there.

    So... much... fail...

    The starions were created with a sohc 4g63 and it was in the Euro/Jap Starion. USA got the G54B.(aka 4G54)

    Starion/Conquests were all made in japan and thusly, not a DSM.

    ... and yeah your last statement is pretty much dead on lol

    Wtf? A sohc 4g63? I don't even get why they would keep the name if that came first. I don't really care about anything that we don't get here(too much of a tease to know some things) so that's probably why I never knew.

    Ah, hmm.. I know for a fact mine is Palermo Grey though, based off of the color code on the tag - but agreed.

    Interesting....I thought 1990 was the first year of the 4g(at least as I know it in my Talon Tsi), didn't know it went that far back. I just assumed it because the Starion/Conquest didn't come with one as far as I knew. I've been spending too much time working on it until recently that I haven't polished up my general knowledge of the DSM/4g yet lol.

    Yeah, SOHC 4G was... 1982?





    various SOHC 4G63 in Starions

    Also, in Japan the 1988 and 1989 Starion came with the 2.6L 4G54 aka the G54B, which in Australia those cars fetch a pretty penny because the AUS market never got the widebody. All they recieved were the SOHC 4G63 flatside.
