    Default My 1982 Prelude

    Hey all!

In 1990 I had an '82 Prelude while I was stationed in California during my enlistment in the Navy. I found a couple pictures of it (no digital cameras back then) and took pics of them (sorry for the glare -- stupid flash.)

The transmission started to go out in the Prelude in 1992 (popped out of third all the time,) so I traded it in. Fast forward 18 years and I'm married (17 years now,) have two kids and a couple Odysseys.

    And this:

I just bought it on eBay and got it home last weekend. It's a dead ringer for my old car (except for the wheels, of course -- but I just located and bought a set of those, too!)

I got some new rubber mounted yesterday and couldn't wait for today. The weather didn't cooperate, but I did it anyway.

Fuck I hate that interior, lolol. I've always had a sore spot for red. But damn, we need to lower that thing down a bit.

Love the car, man. Later, QD.

Yessir. Came out in 1979 and ran until 1983. The second gen with the pop up lights started after that. This car has the same front end as the 1980-83 Honda Civic as well. Later, QD.

Congrats on basically ending up with what you once had and loved. Don't let it slip away again. She's beautiful.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

Badass, congrats on selling your baby and getting another. Most people fall in that category of wishing to get another one day but never do. Keep the old schools alive.

I can't believe you found another one in the same color and everything. Is the lug pattern 4x100? i bet i know where you got those wheels! i have been searching for a 4th of the same wheels in 5x114.3 and just found a guy in cali that seem to have a stockpile of both patterns.
    Are they American Racing Mesh?

They are indeed 4x100 American Racing, and they came from Cali!

Wheelandtirefactory is his eBay name. I was very pleased. I made a deal with him to do the buy it now, but he paid the shipping. Here is the auction listing:

Wheels are in great shape, and I had them within a week.

Drove my baby into work this morning with the windows down and the roof wide open.
