    If it has 8 layers of paint and you are going to metal, I would use a chemical paint striper and the clean and sand!

    Funny you should say that. The trunk is the only part that has that much paint on it. So I stopped on the trunk after i counted layers, and thought about going to get a chemical stripper. It would save a lot of time and hassle.
