    Default Question on my 67

    I have a 1967 f100 project.. with a 1980 5.0L swap
    And its idling for a min then dieing..
    I'm getting fuel from the fuel pump but not continues flow more like sperts..
    The truck has been setting a while just getting a little money and time to work on it so any ideas ill be under it tomorrow just Thought i would ask..

    check your timing and check all of your wires to make sure you've got good grounds.

    My brother has a 68 f100 with the 5.0 swap and his did this, he had his distributor turned too far out. So do as stated above and check your timing.

    Also take a can of carb cleaner and spray around the place where the carb bolts to the manifold. See is you got a leak there. Floats could be sticking in your carb. All kind of depends. If it's running then dying. It's most likely a fuel problem. My Corona does that. Idles fine, but then just goes out. The carb needs a rebuild.

    Hell yeah im glad there are people here well other then what i was told about most on IA lol.. anyways it was a faulty fuel pump wasnt givin it enuff gas and now its gettin a front end from a 78 so i can have disc breaks.. lol thanks for the help..

    So thanks to all your help guy had it runnin and converted to bisc insted of hubs on the front.. but to my surprise i get home and c my grand father under the hood f*#kin with the timin and now it wont start WTF? any ideas.. has a new fuel pump and lines..

    Um he prob. turned it too far out like I thought was wrong in the first place......will it turn over and not start or nothing at all?

    yep.. it will turn over tryin to start.. i have to give it to the old man he was trying lol.. it was running were goin to set the timing tomorrow..
