    Default WTF is wrong w/ this chick?

    Okay dating a new girl and she drives an 01 LS integra, same as me. Problem is, we are like night and day when it comes to our cars. So, she calls me a while back and tells me she wants wheels for her car, I'm thinking "hell yeah, a chick that wants to fix up her car!" So I tell her that I'll GIVE her my 16's on my car. She says no and I question her as to why. She says "they're not chrome! and they're too small!" I asked her to repeat herself and she said she wants 18" chrome wheels for her teg. So, after trying to persuade her that polished slips are close enough to chrome, I gave up and started looking for chrome 18's to sky-jack her teg w/ stock suspension. After looking for a while, I gave up, not finding anything in the $400 range like she requested. Well, today she did it again. She calls me up and asks me to look for a cat-back exahust for her car. I found a apex-i world sport for a good price and e-mailed her a pic. She e-mails me back and says "it's too small!" WOW! So I call here up and ask what she means. She says she wants a big.....exact words now... FART CAN!!! I tell her that it will sound horrible and laugh about it. She says "I want the bumble-bee sound". Now she's pissed b/c I laughed at her. I understand as much as everyone that each person has his or her own taste in cars but come on!! Am I just supposed to let her ruin a perfectly good dc?!? Not sure if I'm in the wrong here, although I think I am b/c it's her car. What should I do?

    Just tell her in the scene you have people that are called ricers, and there car loses value and your putting money into something that isnt going to pay off in the end. It's going to look funny, people will trash talk the car and all in all your losing money and trashing a good ride. Maybe she will change her mind. Show her some ugly rides and say this is not what to do to a ride, then show her some sweet rides and tell her if she does it right she will have a nice car for years and when she sells it another person will want to buy it for more providing you have the right mods.

    Damn, nice advice guys. Already shoved it...... well everywhere. I tried to show her examples of each but she is convinced that the F&F is the way to go. I dunno, part of me wants to let her do it so people will laugh and I will prove my point. She is really a cool chick but I refuse to ride in a ricer.

    My now fiancee knew nothing when we started dating too- hell, she drove a 91 Beretta! Now she has grown to love cars and she even calls out asssholes on the road for being ricey. I could not save her from buying a ZX3 Focus though . It has been fun to help her grow to love working on cars.
