OK you assholes. If you post something in the FS or WTB Forum, at LEAST check your PMs daily. I've offered money for things that have sold for LESS because the seller didn't check his PMs. IT'S IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO CHECK YOUR PMS AND REPLY TO THEM. Also, if something you have posted up FS is already SOLD, then UPDATE YOUR FS THREAD! It's so annoying to send someone a PM the same day they post the FS thread, post in that thread that you PMed them a day later, send them another PM on the third day to *remind* them you are still interested, and finally on the fourth day, they get around to sending you a reply that states they sold it on the third day for a case of natural light beer and that your $100 offer was "just too late". Hey - be sure not to update your thread and tell everone that it's sold!. How USELESS is that?!?

Also, if you post something as WTB, don't go looking around for it and fail to check your PMs. I have sent replies to WTB threads before and got nothing back for days. Later on, it's the same story - "oh....I got one yesterday" - well THANKS. Made it worth my time to reply and give you a pic/description of the item I had.

Tell you guys what - next time, I'll just post a thread entitled "WTB: Toothbrush", keep bumping it up until i get at LEAST 20 replies, then tell about one or two people that I already found one locally and leave the rest of them hanging.

Here is a proposed solution to the problem:

Make a rule that you must respond to PMs in a TIMELY fashion when you have something for sale, and when using this forum to sell your stuff, you must at least keep those who are interested updated on the status of it. You also need to keep your thread updated and post SOLD if your item is indeed sold. A flakey seller is just as bad as a flakey buyer. If you don't plan on checking your PMs daily, then just don't post the thread. You aren't being fair to those who don't live in your neighborhood. This forum caters to much of the southeastern region and beyond. Don't act like it's the community bulletin board at your local neighborhood library.

OK. I'm done. Happy Tuesday everone.
