CT Scan anyone?

Has anyone ever had a CT scan? I'm going to have one done at 3 today and I'm a little worried. I wasn't at first but then my boss told me that I will be in this tube like thing that is very confined and I can't move...........ummm, is that true?

I'm just supposed to be having my sinuses x-rayed - does my whole body have to go in this thing.......or just my head? :confused:

Unless you're having one of the "open" ones, it's pretty confining from what I hear. I'm claustrophobic so I can't hang with any of it.

its sort of like an mri machine...there are open ones and closed ones...dont sweat it...youll be fine...

Your whole body will go into the tube thing.Most people who went thru this procedure were usually because of suspected brain injury since it is costly!

Trust me if u have a serious brain injury, they will put u in there no matter u are happy or not.Plus at that time you are prolly not aware on waht's going on arnd you.

If I'm out, then they could do whatever. If I'm not, trust me it wouldn't work.

I got stuck in an elevator once. It was on my honeymoon. Stuck for like 30 mins. When I got out, I looked like a 6yrd old that just watched Nightmare on Elm street. Hell, I get ill when I go to a mall and it's too crowded. Stick me in something that feels like a coffin......sorry can't hang.

I had one done when my appendix burst. They went from my toes to my chest, when it got to my chest my legs were sticking out of the other end, so it wasnt bad. I thought it was some long tube that you went all the way in and I was paranoid as hell going to the room to get it done. but the opening is bigger than I thought and you only go partially into it.

lol she's scared shitless its hilarious...her boss is freaking her out about it...i keep telling her its no sweat...but she doesnt listen...im the queen of mri's...ive had at least a dozen...plus a ct scan on my chest and stomach...no sweat...just think of puppies and candy canes first-a-lud!
