The one thing about range guns is they're often treated like shit so they don't represent what a gun's like if it's taken care of. I rented a Walther P22 a while back and I hated it because it jammed almost every other round - the cartridges would jam would the nose would hit the feed ramp and stop rather than slide into the chamber. I tried another one later that was owned by someone who took care of it and I loved it.
