    Default I hate computers (rant)

    Sooooooooooo

    I've been working the better part of Thanksgiving break working on a project for english.. making a movie, powerpoint and writing a paper on a movie, The Boys of Baraka. It took 8 hours alone for me to rip the dvd to my hard-drive and halfway through making the movie my computer literally meltsdown. so now i've had to re-format it and start from scratch and the best part is my project is due tomorrrow.

    eh. i emailed my teacher from my moms laptop (which is fucked as well) but my pc has been a problem this whole semester.. i cant count the times i've had to swipe it.. i missed 2 papers because of it and it looks like imma bomb the final project

    windows.

    windows would eat memory. like i cleared 2 gigs yesterday and let my pc sit.... came back and i had less than 50 meg. wtf
    i just got done re-formatting it again so hopefully i have no more problems. what sucked i couldnt save anything, so all my work from 10th grade on is lost (like id need it anyways, but ya know)

    Sounds like you either got hacked or caught a virus...

    I had a friend that got hacked and the hacker was using his computer as a alternative storage device...

    The best thing that you can do to prevent hackers is to have a active hardware firewall via a router of some sort. Like a linksys or something.

    so i downloaded zenwalk, and i cant get daemon to work... FUCK and now my audio codecs are all fucked.... i want to kill my computer

    First thing I do when I download a new distro is join their forum lol; and if it's just your audio that's fucking up use VLC Plays everything under the sun and some things on it.

    well i have to download nero to burn the iso to disc as an miage... but i gotta dl it first, then i guess i have to reformat again.... and try to re-install everything on zenwalk (ares, dvd stuff, etc)

    im so fucked

    So i got Zenwalk to work, even got my netowkr up (ignore the pm, i didnt think tp ush "restart network") lol

    so now i just have to get the media player working.... advice? i havent used linux shit in FOREVER
