#1: let me say this...just as our childen(if you have any, i dont) are a reflection of the parents. if you dont raise a child but let it do it's own thing, your gonna have a wild ass child w/ no boundries of right/wrong. the same applies with dogs. i've owned plenty of dogs and with the responsibilites that come with them, it's a must that they are trained. that dumbass that owned that dog you shot, was completely at fault for his dogs demise, and you were totally justified in your actions, with you looking to protect your own TRAINED/CONTAINED animals and ESPECIALLY your child. regardless of what type of dog, there's always the chance that they can become agressive/mean. it's just that a few dogs stand out more than others.
pits-have a REP for being agressive, SOME people train them to fight, others raise them as family.
rotts-huge ass dogs SOME are trained as guard dogs. most, family.
doberman pincers-ditto
chows-same thing.
german shephards-police dogs and family, like all the rest.
but these dogs can be whoop-ass mean and get more TV COVERAGE than most others.
i, myself have a shephard mix. and he's very intelligent. i made sure, like most dog owners, he has boundaries, and is trained as best as i could, to limit him being the cause of issues with my neighborhood. we have tons of children here under the age of 15 and i'll be damned if i let one of them get attacked by something i bought. and if he does, i'll have to be responsible for it.

Unfortunately the dog had to die because the owner was too irresponsible to take care of it properly. ppl like that should not be allowed to own animals and or be put to sleep themselves lol. you def did the right thing. i think if some dog came at me while holding my kid, and the owner let it happen again, the dog wouldnt have been the only one that got a pipe to the face

He did the right thing and shot that dog. I dont care if it would have been a pit or any other dog. If it charged me, it would have gotten the head shot also...but i would have called animal control first.
In 9th grade i almost got attacked by 2 dogs who didnt have a leash. I called animal control, and never saw those dogs again.

no i was being serious, i've seen first hand, a pit attacking a cat and i jumped on its head and it did nothing, i punched it as hard as i could in the eyes and top of his head, his nose everything i could, and the whole time it he was just wagging his tail, he finally let go and the cat was alright, but i put him in a closet that is two small fro him to lay down and there is a shelf that makes it to short for him to sit all the way up, he knows thst his time out closet, and we left him int here for 2 hours.
when you see first hand of a pit attacking your friend when your 16 then come see me ..

i hope a never see a pit attack a person, the only reason i saw it attack a cat was because my friend has a stray cat hangs around his house and i was bringing him in from a walk and it was under my friends car and it popped out right in front of him and there was nothing i could do. the thing is he will never bite a person, he could care less about other dogs that bark at him when were walking, but he hates cats.

it was a loose dog that had a bad temper we starting walking away from it but it just kept following us ..
so we just started running towards this fence and it grabbed my friend by his ankle causing him to fall ..
then it went for my friends neck and thats when i came in and started kicking and punching the dog ..
i found a stick near by and jabbed its eye with it and it let my friend go and ran off ..
called the cops and they found the dog and all i heard was gun shots i knew it was shot cause i heard it bark ..

let me show u something... this is the same dog, in the first pic, it's me and my friends around saying no, and stay, and look what she can do, in the second pic, its me behind the camera playin monster with my hand and getting her to snap at me, but she knows im playing cause 2 second's after that pic i put my mouth up to hers and she kissed me, and then i played with her some more and i can put my hand in her mouth when she is doing that and she wont do anything...

Why didnt you just call animal control you fuckin tardGot some new neighbors a coupl months ago. They had 2 pits that they let run free.
A couple of weeks ago I walked outside with my newborn daughter in my arms to find a pit messin with my 2 dogs. I took my daughter in then ran back outside with a pipe to run it off. When I tried to run it off it stood its ground until I knocked tha shit out of it. Right across the head. It was dazed for a sec then took off home. I followed it to the owners house and tried to be nice about it at first. I told him I had a newborn and there was a leash law. After he caught an attitude with me I told him if I see it in my yard again I was going to kill it.
Then last week I come home and guess whats in my yard again? I couldn't get to it this time before it ran off. The owner was in his yard. I told him it had one more time to come in my yard and walked inside.
About 2pm today I heard my dogs barking and fighting (invisible fence) so I looked out the window and saw it again. Walked to my bedroom, grabbed my new S&W .40 and went outside. I have been wanting to fire it, it was the first time.
So anyways, tha pit ran at meso I shot it. Twice.
The owner came running over and started cussin. I told him I had warned him twice and to get out of my yard. He promptly left my yard.
Dailed the sherriff and walked back inside.
It was a good day.

joys a blue fawn but her skin got lighter as she grew up kane is a full blue ..
