Alot of the time CarFax can show and TSB's and recalls on most vehicles, and condition of drivetrain for the owner at that time could have been fine and your little friend probably can't drive worth a shit and furthered whatever problems that have been incurred. Also I did say he should have looked the car over or had a shop look it over for him, it's his own damn fault for not being a knowledgable (sp?) buyer and done what most people do, but as I can see neither one of ya'll are the brightest bulbs in the box.
