ya the CCNA helps you get the job and get your foot in the door, but once you have your foot in the door it is useless, and since you say you work or worked for IBM you dont need it since you already are in the company. The CCNA reading also helps you learn networking concepts and things of that sort thing, but you dont really need to go get the cert.
