My SS gets 27 mpg on the highway. And 19 in the city. Makes 510ish HP at the motor on the motor. Runs low 11's on motor at the track. My car > your car.

The faster a car is in a straight line the more you need to be worried about how well it will turn. If you throw a very fast str8 line car into a turn (consider that you havent worried about turning) you are going to have to slow down more than you would have to in a car that wasnt as fast in a str8 line, but has better handling. The slower\handles better car is going to come out of the turn quicker than the fast str8 line car will. At the end of the day the latter of the 2 will win a race because of handling rather than str8 line power.

Also the other thing that you have to consider is power to wieght ratio, you might have all the horsepower, but how much does the car itself weight. This is what make a lotus what it is...that is also what makes my friends ford fastiva what it is...him with about 200hp would run 11s stacked up againest your 500hp...

o yeah my car that runs high 15's has only got a few boltons, full exhaust CAI...you know slow ass SOHC non V-tec...but the difference is i only paid 3k for mine and will have alot less invested in mine to get to low 11's, than waht you paid for your car alone and still get 30 something mpg...also everyone else... i think this is what i am gonna buy next... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SKUNK...QQcmdZViewItem
