One, it doesn't have anything to do with black, or white first off. I swear this type of shyt is what really pisses me off. One, since they're obviously friends of yours, they were like that when you met em.

SOME PEOPLE JUST DO THAT SHYT!! My friends complain about me cause I sometimes concentrate on the TV & not them on the phone. They'll be talking & I'll be listening, but not paying attention to what they're saying-saying. Now I do apologize for doing it, but can't help it.

this wasnt aimed at friends i initialy posted this because i had a few calls at work that were this way.. after i told them whatrevr they wanted they hung up abruptly, no thanks aor good bye... its just wierd, and like i said before its not racial its just something i have noticed with the african american race.

I used to think that this was an Atlanta thing. But I was on the subway in NY, and saw a dude doing it. I have a theory for that also, they're dumbasses LOL. They need someone to walk over to them, slap them phone out of their hands, and say "LISTEN IDIOT, THEY DONT HEAR YOU ANY LOUDER IF YOU'RE CLOSER TO THE MIC. BESIDES, YOU CANT HEAR WHAT THEY"RE SAYING CUZ YOU DONT HAVE THE SPEAKER TO YOUR EAR."

I was actually thinking of two different scenarios:

1. Pretending to have speaker phone(if they don't) or pretending to have Nextel.

2. Not wanting to be interrupted while the person is talking, the person holds the phone away so that he/she can't hear that someone is trying to cut him/her off. Then, when he/she is don. the phone i is put back to the ear to listen.

I'm just fucking around, but to me, Vegeta, that doesn't seem right. It seems more like it's done as a fad and not as a comfort. Later, QD.

Okay, read that whole phone thing wrong. Okay, I don't like holding the cell close cause it heats up. Now maybe this manuever was done in a movie, or video, & just copied.lol

Now the hanging up is rude plain & simple no doubt, but I still doubt it's just black people who do it.lol Older people tend to do it too. Now as to the poster, I'd assume they called to get their info, got it & dashed.

your missing the point, when i answer a question or help someone to answer their questions then yes the common thing to do would be thanks, even end it at thanks its just plain rude to just hang up. as for them not knowing me or wanting to get to know me i dont care its just manners. I am in sales and i dont care who you are i treat customers with respect, you have to or else i wont have a job so i tend noyt to be "uppity" so i doubt that is it.
