Being in the Halloween spirit, who here believes in ghosts? This whole weekend I have watched shows of people investigating haunted houses and telling ghost story encounters. Just thought I'd find out who on IA think that ghosts really exist.

Hm...not sure if I believe in ghosts or not, but I do think there could be some sort of spiritual essence after life. If that's what you would translate as a ghost, then yeah, I could possibly go with that.
no, sorry never really caught that bug

I've had bad experiences at rumored haunted places.... mainly a cemetary up by Kennesaw... let's just say that I had a hoody on as well as two shirts and I came back with an upside down cross scratched into my back (deep enough to draw blood) and I didn't feel it... I saw some shit out there too... so yeah, I believe in them
Yeah I have had bad experiences too. I used to live in a neighborhood that had a built in cemetary in Montgomery and when I was home alone I would hear the strangest things. I would hear people talking and walking up and down my hallway and I would hear someone knocking on my wall. My mom told me it was a bird that probably came in through the cimeny (sp?) and was pecking the wall. I don't think so. I believe I know the difference in sound and how likely is that to happen![]()
Anyone ever find out what was behind the so called "Hell's Church" up in Canton off of Riverstone? I guess the first one burned down a long time ago and then they rebuilt it. It's about 2 miles down this empty one-lane road. There's 1 street light for the parking lot, and a huge graveyard. About 80% of the graves are of kids that died real young. Out front, there's a standing stone with a dedication engraved on it, stating the burning of the first church. The weird part, is that the date read 198-. The last number has been chipped out. Also, there is a path that winds through the woods and ends up at a baptism pool. I think the weirdest part of the whole place is that nowhere on the church is there a cross. Not on top, on the doors, the walls, the pews, the podium, no where. Kinda creepy.
I went there a few months back and it definitely had a creepy factor to it. The church itself isn't so bad, but the path down to the baptism pool will definitely freak you out.Originally Posted by BluesClues

Now back to talking about ghosts. If your read my blog I think I was visited for a while by someone. All I could ever see was a black figure and every time I double looked it was gone. There has been some strange things to happen in my house.
