But who's to say that's bad? The evo has a cast-iron block, and it's packed with technology

Let's not forget that the 2JZ was in the IS300, albeit in unboosted form. And the SR20DE was in the 200SX along with the Silvia.

Like I said before, the evo has an iron block and it does well for itself. And you can't call the RX8 the RX7's successor, unless you mean only in name, they're realy two different beings.
