IT seems everyone has their own different views and really there is nothing anyone can say to change these views because we all have had different experiences. Joselyn for you to call us racist I think may be a tad bit off. I know I am not racist. I never said I had anything wrong with a certain race. I just get pissed off when being a black person we still have to fight for our rights today and for someone who is not originally from here gets off easier than we do. It makes me feel as a black person singled out, but this is no one's fault but the governments. I have said everything I could say so I am done with this subject. This subject will never get anywhere

Because when people look at others at the mall or at a restaurant, they do not see how much money they make or where they work....All they see is skin...Face it, every remark made in here is either prejudice, ignorance, or just plain racism...But its all good b/c if I ever meet a person that says that they are not racist I call bullshit. When I took my Civil Rights courses at GSU my professor called out all the black kids in the class for looking at me like i was weird b/c I was in there...She explained to them that b/c of my Puerto Rican roots I probably have more black blood in my pinky than most of them have in their bodies...I stayed quiet that whole semester, there was a rally one day outside for Latinos...I was the only one that got up out of my seat and walked out...What did my professor say..."What the hell are you people waiting for? That girl needs others to stand behind her but you all feel that the struggle has been fought for you by people of the past and therefore you quit fighting. You roll through life feeling like you are intitled to special treatment b/c you are black. Let me tell you something. You may be black in here but to some people out there you are still just a nigger." She made the whole class go out and march with me..Why? B/c in the end we are all fighting for the same cause...
BTW-There are Africans that are illegal immigrants as well as Jamaican if you want illegals sent back just know that everybody has to get checked...Including black people. Me personally, I would much rather worry about those that are killing, raping, stealing, and doing things that hurt our society than sending illegals that make minimum wage back home.... If it happens to be the illegals that are doing this..then hell send'em back!

The problem is blamed on the Man whom ever he shall be(white,black,purple). Those that are in charge (government,bodyshop owner,contrator) are the people to blame because he the one hiring the illegals when he could hire citizens. He also could say hay if you want legal you got to pay for legals. Think about this the avg. house in Ga. is about $175k for argument sake if we get legal to build them the house would go up about another $20k or so. Ask yourself why so many people come from other states to live here in Ga. because the home,apt. are cheap versus the cost in most states in the country. So if the illegals are taken out the equation we would be paying a lot more for the work we need.

Obviously you don't know the definition of racist. It would be the dislike or hatred of another race which I do not fit in this category what so ever. About the flip flops topic, only race I see wearing them during the winter are white people, if I saw a black, asain, indian, hispanic, race then I would have said something about them too. Second of all, for me to be racist against blacks or whites would be completely stupid on my part seeing that's what I am. I would have to hate myself and I DON'T.

But it wont happen. As long as there are people willing to do it for cheap...It will get done quicker and make the contractor more money..

About the corporation thing..It is illegal to hire people without some form of documentation..When they do this they know it is illegal..I am glad some dstates fine the companies now when they find out that illegals are working there...

The comment about most Asians and Africans is bullshit...I am sorry but I went to the most culturally diverse school in all of GA....73% of our students were illegal...21% of our school was Asian...Africans being legal...Once again, my ass they are...I have been asked on several occasions to help out my familiesfriends b/c they are not here legally....They came on a tourism pass and never left.

Everybody is missing the whole point and I know the truth hurts but here it goes.
1. Not all Illegal immigrants crossed the border.
2. Not all Illegal are Mexican (a majority yeah)
3. Companies don't hire "immigrants" because they work for less they just work harder and complain less.
4. Being familiar with the general contracting business I'm sorry to say that we DO have to pay the same taxes as a business for an illegal immigrant or a legal citizen.
5. Business are based in production not cheaper labor.
6. Some business do explode "illegal immigrant" labor but now is up to the immigrant to deal with the situation because even the department of labor gives them a hand.
7. As sorry as it sounds in our business everybody is welcome to apply but unlucky the American citizens we hire don't usually last more than 3 months and they ALWAYS have excuses to miss work or to avoid working hard.
8. Biggest reason why there is a lot of illegal immigrant labor is because a lot of American Citizens are being smart and are educating themselves seeking managing positions so someone else has to get dirty.
9. A LOT of the illegal immigrants that I'm familiar with have a TAX I.D. and they do their taxes every year like any American Citizen and actually our company requires every person to at least have a tax I.D. and proof of previous tax years revenue.
10. Unfortunately a lot of American based business do take advantage of the cheap labor that illegal immigrants offer and they become more of a harm to this country than the illegal immigrant itself.
You people need to keep in mind that a lot of this people were brought here as kids and never had a chance to become US residents. I know plenty of young teenagers who would give anything to go to college and have a career like any American but they can't because of their legal status.
Becoming a legal resident IS NOT easy and the US government does not want to provide a comprehensive bill to at least give the chance to admit hard working honest people to apply for a work permit at least and I'm sorry but it sounds to me that for the government it works better this way.
I say get rid of all illegal immigrants that are nothing but harm to this country. Get terrorist out of our land but do not punish those who just want to work to feed their kids.
