I was younger in my Lex and used to get pulled over all the time too. The majority were just in retrospect, only a couple times harassment.

I realized as I've gotten closer to 30, that it was ME that was the problem, driving aggressive, music blasting for all to hear and speeding 90% of my commute to wherever I went.

I noticed when I stopped speeding and doing shit to get noticed, i stopped getting pulled over.

That and I was tired of donating to the Shirley Franklin/Bill Campbell retirement fund!

Thats not totally true. My old roommate had a yellow GTI that he bought used (he wasn't into cars or anything, just the best deal he found when he was looking). He got a TON of tickets driving that thing around.... they even pulled his ass over on his way to the courthouse to pay one of the tickets! (bastards!) He drove no faster and no more recklessly than I did. (I had a gray mazda 626)

A year later, he sells the GTI and gets a white Taurus. No change in driving habits, but its been 2.5 years and he has yet to get a single ticket in the Taurus.

The moral of the story is: Atlanta area cops profile cars like a mofo. They will look hard for any reason to pull you over if your car matches whatever it is they have in mind when you roll on by.

I have to agree with you. My first car was a tan, 83, Mazda GLC. I got no looks, or tickets in that crap. Then I went into an 00 Chrysler 300M, cops started to look, but still no tickets. Went from the Chrysler into an 02 328i. Man I couldnt drive a whole week, without getting stopped for something. After that lease was up, I got an 02 Infiniti I35. Same thing, cops stoping me just to see if I had my papers together. To make sure, I had insurance. To ask me who bought my car, stupid stuff. I honestly downgraded into my current car, but it looks different that most cars you see, and because of that APD gives plenty of looks. I've been stopped 11 times in 6 months, and only cited 2 times. 1 for seatbelt, the other for....I dont even know

Oh I've failed emissions before, thats why I have a "homeboy". I gotta get it taken care of though, either way.
