Couldn't have said it better myself. Although, other than a ton of E36's, and a efw E46's, I've enver actuall;y driven a Bangle turd heap. Yes, Mr. Bangle was quite involved with the design of the E36, he just wasn't head of design yet. I think thats party why that car falls apart pre-maturely around the drivetrain.Originally Posted by Ran Kizama
Bangle is the designer, he has nothing to do with the engineering aspect.Originally Posted by kendogg
While BMWs do use tons of plastic parts (hell the new 335 has plastic front FENDERS, lol), the reason for it is it keeps weight distribution at or near 50/50 for optimal balance.
Little known fact...the head designer for BMW MURDERED his son, clearly he lost his job when he went to jail. HE designed the 1980s and influenced the mid 1990s BMWs....
If he hadn't done that, Bangle would probably not be the head of design. (I also love the older BMW looks, I cannot quite get the new ones design)

I tried googling it before but could not find nothing. I read it in an issue of "EVO" and also in an issue of "EuroTuner" (I think that is the name of it).Originally Posted by kendogg
