Bill Auberlen won 1st in the first race and that was it... the highest points BMW driver is 12 Seth Thomas i believe... \/Originally Posted by kendogg

Again, thank you for supporting what I said.Originally Posted by admin
Neither Turner nor Bimmerworld run full seasons.
Bill with Turner comes in and wins first place in the first race. Penalties will in encurred on ALL BMWS IN THE SERIES! and then turner and bimmerworld miss a couple races then show up for another one. Come on man, So you have guys with the best cars racing 4-5 times a season and the ones with privately funded cars penalized because a team with an unlimited budget won a race, and then skips a couple of races.

nope bill ran 1 race ... all of the other bmw's ran and the best rank is 12 so what does that say about the manuf.? okOriginally Posted by DinanM3atl

In SWC all vehicles will be penalized via restrictor plates and weight penalties because of podium finishes and performance in races. SO, they all got penalized then Turner doesn't show up anymore. Quit argueing about something you know very little about and you just "read it on the internet"
I admitted that all the vehicles are more closely matched this year. But you take vehicles that have similar weight, power etc
Then throw 250 pounds in the passenger seat, see what happens.

SIMILAR WEIGHT ISN'T SAME WEIGHT. you make it sound like no other form of racing has restrictions... even drag racing has restrictions + tech inspections... every form of racing does that makes the playing field even and make it a driver sport not a $$$ sport. they have cars w/ 1.8L motors competing in this against BMW w/ 3.0L motors.Originally Posted by DinanM3atl
Hmmm, so let's get this straight:
The term "luxury" is defined by guys that drive 20 yr old beater cars because they have an airplane prop on the hood they think makes THEM cool???
Got it.
The BMW is the "ultimate" driving machine, only if it goes to the twisties where the driver grew up in and paved himself with ma and paw and runs against a FWD 4 cyl car.
Got it.
The BMW is "luxury" because it is DELIVERED in an enclosed trailer which somehow adds what......30-40 HP and instantly puts on aftermarket mods.....*edited*- Oh, and the enclosed trailer also makes the leather softer, the dash less plastic, the electronics work better, the maintainance cheaper, and the instrument cluster much more modern since it looks the same as it did back in 1932.
Got it.
I'm not a stereotypical BMW dickweed, yet EVERY SINGLE thread I'm in I HAVE TO remind everyone that I drive a BMW, even if it's old, even if it's tired, and even if it's the only car I have any experience in.
Got it.
The BMW is the mack daddy race bred car, yet when it goes head-to-head in a championship series against the likes of much "lesser" JAPANESE cars......it's not even in the hunt for the boobie prize. Why? "Cause, coach.....my pussy hurts.....and them meany boys put restrictor plates and extra weight on my car and now that we're EVEN and it's up to ME to win or lose.....I get my ASS handed to me by smaller engined cars.......Coach.....my pussy hurts because they're making me play by the RULES that were there when I started the season.....Coach, that aint fair because I'm LOSING.......and my pussy hurts...."
Got it.

This year is slightly different, the Mazda has definately caught up on BMW, however in all the races Mazda has won or podium finished they restrictions and weight penalties ahve been nill.Originally Posted by admin
I have to give all the cars in that series props because they are all very closely matched now for sure! It is a good series, one that BMW no longer completely dominates!
