God damn.
I forgot how fucking stupid the BMW owners on this site are.
If you dont think Infiniti is LUXURY, then youre retarded.
Any of the G35s, sedans or coupe, along with the M, can stand beside the BMWs, and mercedes in the respective classes IMO.
you cant compare a G35 to a M3 or M5 IMO. why:
1) M3 is a race cars heritage that BMW carries on. it has a much higher price tag compared to any Inifiniti sports car, sedan.
2) I dont think Infiniti ever tried to compete with BMW or Mercedes, they offered a product that had alot of the same creature comforts, with less price tag. sure they sacrificed the power, but so what. G35s still have some bite to their bark.
Bottom line is they are a luxury brand. I would consider them along with LExus, BMW, Mercedes. They may not have the brand allegiance that the others have , but i dont think they have been given the chance yet. Nissan an infiniti were about to go under 5 years ago. Look where they have gone in the last couple years.
If a guy WANTS the status symbol of a BMW, Mercedes, hes gonna buy those cars. But for the average to upper middle class person, looking to purchase a nice car with a good price that holds its value, along with sporty looks, the Infinity wins hands down IMO. BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, LExus, Porchse, Landrover have always been for the "upper crowd" that want the status symbol, want to pay the money, and want to say they own one. i dont think infiniti markets itself that way. i think they say "hey, if you want BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, LExus, Porchse, Landrover, go buy one, they are great cars. But if you want a car for a decent price , with the same options an features, come give us a chance". an i think it works great.
NIssan/Infiniti must be doming something right, as last i checked they were selling the most cars an had the highest profit of any car manufacturer. Plus, CArlos Ghosn is being bred to take over the big american 3.
IMO, fuck a BMW, id take a G35 anyday over an M3 simply for the fact that the breakdown to price ratio is better with the infiniti haha.
well said michael....well said indeed :goodjob: +eleventyQuote:

PWNZORED
Ferrari ships there acrs enclosed i suspect for several reasons:
1) who wants a rock chip on a $150000+ car
2) im sure they dont want the fast an the furious crowd going "hey look, theres a truck full of ferraris"
use your head
Whatever you say man. Fact of the matter is, is no matter the price tag, an equal BMW will out-do an equal Infiniti. Doens't matter the 'cost difference'. If you've got the money, I'm sure you'd buy one over an Infiniti, irriguardless of the 'value' in an Infiniti. I'd feel safer in a roll over in a BMW. I'd feel safer weaving thru traffic in a BMW. And I'd feel safer on the track in a BMW. The BMW will outlast the Infiniti in daily hard driving or racing. There are plenty of track-only BMW's, club racers, DE cars, etc., that have seen NOTHING but the racetrack for years, with 75-100k miles or more on them of track ONLY use, original motors, tranny's, etc. Like I said to the other guy man. Get a grip. There's a reason you pay a premium price for a premium car, and it isn't always for a brand name. You might not see the reasons in day to day driving. You might not even see the reasons when it's time to do maintenence. Yeah, some BMW's are un-godly expensive to maintain. When those BMW's hit 200k miles, 250k, or even 300k plus, what do you think the % of those cars are that are in great driving condition,e verythign still works, interior isn't falling apart, etc., is, compared to the japanese counterparts? I RARELY see a japanese car with that many miles on it that isn't falling apart. The drivetrains may be stout, but the rest of the car SURE isn't.Quote:

Who said that only jap cars can last 200k+, and in that phrasing youre just saying in general not on a track, so basically you're comparing apples and oranges.Quote:
There is a debate on importatlanta.com, the local 'ricer' board here, and some don't seem to beleive that a car such as a BMW will last and last and last on the track. From what I've read before, there are plenty of track-only cars that have seen 75k+ miles on them of track-only use, with original motors and tranny's. I beleive this to be true, but could be wrong. They don't seem to believe that anything but a jap car can last 200k+. Discuss. Thanks.
If you would take a G35 over an E46 M3 you are retarded. You know what else. My E36 M3 is EQUAL IN STRAIGHT LINE PERFORMANCE WITH A G35! AND IT IS ALMOST 10 YEARS OLD! What say you to that? I have a smaller motor, less power and a little less weight! I will own it even farther at the track. I hate to tell you but guess what dude, they are almost equal on price, and the G35 is newest, the E46 M3 has been around since 01, you gonna run this same bullshit when the new v8 M3 comes out and stomps that G35?Quote:

Thats the most ironic statement.Quote:

HaHa, i never said because I have a BMW I am better, where did i say that? Is it because I won't buy a cheap japanese car? That makes me an elitist?
How?Quote:

This is a mute arguement for me,
I bouhgt my M3 because it is nice, and the best part about it, even in STOCK form it is a track beast, i love the track and the M3 is the ultimate street/track car.
No, you said if you were stupid you'd buy a Japanese car...Quote:
